Upper Mustang is one of Nepal's most fascinating and unique Himalayan destinations. This journey combines scenic flights or jeep drives with beautiful hiking through traditional villages. The highlight of the trip is the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang, the cultural heart of the former Kingdom of Mustang.
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist luxury bus. The journey takes approximately 7 hours. Alternatively, you can take a scenic flight of approximately 25–35 minutes. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into the hotel and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Pokhara.

Early in the morning, take a scenic flight from Pokhara to Jomsom (2,740 m), which takes approximately 15–20 minutes. From Jomsom, begin your trek towards Kagbeni (2,804 m), following the beautiful Kali Gandaki Valley. The trek takes approximately 3 hours.
Alternatively, drive from Pokhara to Kagbeni by jeep, which takes approximately 7–8 hours, depending on road conditions. Kagbeni is a beautiful traditional village with Tibetan Buddhist culture and ancient architecture.

After breakfast, begin the trek from Kagbeni towards Chaile (Tsale) at approximately 3,050 m.
The trail follows the Kali Gandaki Valley and passes through beautiful landscapes, traditional settlements, and dry Himalayan terrain. Enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and unique Mustang landscapes. The trek takes approximately 6–7 hours.

Today, continue trekking towards Ghiling (approximately 3,570 m). The trail passes through dry valleys, colorful cliffs, Chunsi cave monastery and traditional Mustang villages. Along the way, you will experience the unique landscape and culture of Upper Mustang. The trail includes several ascents and descents. The trek takes approximately 6–7 hours.
Overnight at the lodge at Ghiling
After breakfast, trek from Ghiling towards Dhakmar (approximately 3,800 m). Today's journey offers spectacular views of the dramatic Mustang landscape, including impressive cliffs and high mountain valleys. Dhakmar is famous for its beautiful red cliffs and peaceful surroundings. The trek takes approximately 6–7 hours.

Today, trek from Dhakmar to the historic Gyar Gompa (approximately 3,930 m). Gyar Gompa is one of the important and beautiful monasteries in the Upper Mustang region. The route offers incredible views of the dry Himalayan landscape and ancient Tibetan Buddhist settlements. The trek takes approximately 5–6 hours. After arriving, visit the monastery and explore the surrounding area.

After breakfast, begin the trek towards Lo Manthang (approximately 3,840 m), the ancient capital of the former Kingdom of Mustang. The trail passes through beautiful valleys and traditional settlements. As you approach Lo Manthang, you will see the impressive ancient walled city surrounded by spectacular Himalayan landscapes. The trek takes approximately 7–8 hours.

After breakfast, drive by jeep from Lo Manthang towards Yara Village, passing through the beautiful Mustang landscape and traditional villages. After lunch, explore the Yara region and visit the famous Luri Gompa, one of the most remarkable ancient cave monasteries in Upper Mustang. Luri Gompa is well known for its historical importance, Buddhist artwork, and unique location among the dramatic cliffs of Mustang. And back to Charang (Tsrang village) 3570m. Driving time Approximately 5–7 hours, depending on the route and road conditions.Overnight at the lodge in Charang(Tsarang) 3570m. After breakfast, drive back towards Tsarang (Charang), one of the most important historical villages in Upper Mustang. Tsarang is home to an impressive monastery and ancient cultural sites.
After breakfast, drive by jeep from Tsarang towards Kagbeni. Continue the journey to Muktinath (approximately 3,800 m). Visit the sacred Muktinath Temple, an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Explore the temple area and the surrounding beautiful mountain landscape. Later, drive to Jomsom (approximately 22,740 m).

Early in the morning, take a scenic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, approximately 15–20 minutes, depending on weather conditions. Alternatively, drive from Jomsom to Pokhara by jeep, which takes approximately 7–8 hours depending on road conditions. Upon arrival in Pokhara, transfer to your hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing near Phewa Lake or exploring the beautiful lakeside area.

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu by tourist luxury bus, approximately 7–8 hours. Alternatively, take a domestic flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu, approximately 35 minutes. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel.
